On Sunday, May 28th, the Indian River (80) and Lewes (82) fire departments were alerted to assist Rehoboth Beach (86) with a structure fire in the Angola Beach Estates on Montgomery Court. It was reported to be a working alarm. Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police. Emergency response crew assignments included assistance with fire suppression activities, ventilation, and overhaul for salvage and recovery as well as water shuttle assistance. Arriving emergency response units found heavy smoke being emitted from the occupied residential structure which caused extensive damage to the structure and roof.
