Nature: Vehicle Accident Possibly Serious

On Friday morning, May 19^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on Branch Road just off of Autumn Road.

Emergency response vehicles from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignment included incident mitigation and evaluation as well as notification of the utility provider for a priority response.

It appears that with construction equipment and activities within the immediate area a dump truck with its bed fully extended become entangled in the overhead utility wires which created a hazardous situation.

The utility provider was notified of the incident and provided an immediate response.
