Monday May, 8 2017 @ 01:07 Nature: Structure Fire Location: Working Townhouse Fire 124 Carter Way Lewes, DE 19958
Early Monday, May 8th, the Indian River (80), Georgetown (77), Rehoboth Beach (86), Milton (82), and Memorial (89) fire companies were alerted to assist Lewes (82) with a working residential town house fire on Carter Way in Lewes. Many other companies were alerted to assist with cover-up or stand-by assignments as well. Emergency apparartus response requests from Indian River included Ladder 80 and Engine #80-3 as well as the Delaware State Fire Police. Emergency response crew assignments included assistance as directed from the Officer in Charge and manpower assistance. This was a second alarm assignment request from Lewes Fire Department when their units arrived with actual fire showing. The Delaware State Fire Marshall's Office is investigating.
