On Saturday evening, April 29^th, the Indian River (80), Bethany Beach (70), and Rehoboth Beach (86) were alerted for a water rescue incident near Savage Ditch Road off of Coastal Highway.  It was reported to be two jet skiers in distress.

Emergency response units from Indian River include 80 Marine 1 and Utility 80-08, 80 Marine 2 and Brush 80-0 as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Both marine units responded to Massey’s Landing Public Boat Ramp for preparation and launch.

It appears that the jet skiers were not in distress and upon arrival of emergency response vessels the mariners had departed the area.
