Nature: Transformer Fire

Location: 26696 Mission Place Millsboro, DE 19966

Early Thursday morning, April 27^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a transformer fire in the Indian Town Farms development off of Mount Joy Road. 

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignment included incident mitigation and assessment. 

It was determined that all electrical services were out within the immediate area and the appropriate utility company was notified.  Also, another emergency incident was reported while apparatus was responding to the transformer fire.  This incident was a vehicle accident involving a telephone pole, transformers, etc.
