Nature: Electrical Hazard

Location: 25071 Banks Rd Millsboro, DE 19966

On Tuesday morning, April 11th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an electrical hazard on Banks Road. It was reported that the utility service wirings were not properly reinstalled after the motor vehicle accident the evening before and a tractor trailer snagged the low hanging wires.

Emergency response crews from Indian River included Engine #80-3, Brush #80-0 and the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignment included incident mitigation and closure of Banks Road for the duration of the incident.

Additional resources were requested from the Delaware Department of Transportation for traffic control assistance with the detour around the construction site on John J. Williams Highway.

It appears that the tractor trailer snagged the low hanging wires and become entangled within them.
