Nature: Vehicle Accident Possibly Serious

On Saturday, March 11th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on Long Neck Road near the entrance to East Gate Church and Pot Nets Bayside entrance.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-1 from the Oak Orchard facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle stabilization if needed, scene preservation and debris clean up.

It appears that a white Chevrolet Cavalier and a green Ford Focus collided causing minor damage to both vehicles.

The Delaware State Fire Police provided traffic control assistance for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
