Friday February, 10 2017 @ 14:05 Nature: Vehicle Accident Location: John J Williams Hwy and Warwick Road, Millsboro, DE 19966
On Friday, February 10th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on John J. Williams Highway in the vicinity of Warwick Road. It was reported to be a two vehicle collision with unknown injuries at the time of dispatch. Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police. Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle stabilization, assist with patient stabilization if needed, traffic control, and overall scene mitigation. It appears that a Honda CRX and Toyota SUV were traveling on John J. Williams Highway when both vehicles collided in a straight section of the roadway for unknown reason. Both vehicles sustained damaged and required towing. The local emergency medical services personnel transported both vehicle’s occupants to the nearby medical facilities. The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control measures and partially implemented a detour to mitigate the traffic situation. The Delaware State Police are investigating. |
