Nature: Indian River Orders New Rescue Pumper

Location: Oak Orchard, Sussex County, Delaware

 

The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company is pleased to announce that its Truck Committee has finalized its assignment to plan for the development and acquisition of a new rescue pumper to replace Rescue 80 http://www.irvfc.com/apparatus/detail/4615 and Engine #80-5 http://www.irvfc.com/apparatus/detail/4608 .

The newly ordered Rescue Pumper will be a custom made Rosenbauer Rescue Pumper capable providing Indian River with a consolidated approach for fire suppression and rescue services piece of apparatus which will serve our community for many years.

The successful bidder and chosen manufacturer was Rosenbauer Firefighting Technology and their website information is: http://www.rosenbaueramerica.com/

The estimated construction process will be approximately 14 months after commencement and should be available in Spring 2018.
