Nature: Charter Member – John T. Rogers, Jr. Passes

The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company is mourning the loss of one of its charter members, John T. Rogers, Jr.

The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company wishes to offer its condolences and deepest gratitude to the families and loved ones of Johnny Rogers.

We wish to offer the Rogers Family our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Johnny was a Charter Member and served as the first ever elected First Assistant Chief of the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company.  During his tenure with the fire company John served as Board of Director, Vice President, First Assistant Chief and Second Assistant Chief.  John was instrumental in the location, design and construction of the first station on Oak Orchard Road.

• Visitation – Tuesday, February 7, 2017 from 4 to 7 P.M.

• Visitation - Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at 11:00 A.M.

• Funeral – Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at 1 P.M.

• Interment will follow in the Millsboro Cemetery, Millsboro, DE 19966.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
