Monday January, 23 2017 @ 18:01 Nature: Automatic Fire Alarm Location: 26609 Briarstone Place, Fairfield, Millsboro, DE 19966
On Monday, January 23rd, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an automatic fire alarm on Briarstone Place in the Fairfield development off of Long Neck Road. Emergency response units from Indian River included Ladder 80 and Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engines #80-1 and #803 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police. Emergency response crew assignments included incident evaluation in order to the reason for the alarm activation. Thermal imaging cameras were utilized to evaluate the interior of the facility and the ladder truck was utilized to check upper floors for any undesirable conditions. It appears that the residential owners were not readily available and access to the residential structure was not warranted based upon the visible conditions, both externally and internally. Based upon the exterior observations there was no rationale to gain access to the structure and the residential alarms notifications were placed on officers call. |
