Nature: Vehicle Accident

Location: John J. Williams Highway @ Legion Rd Millsboro, DE 19966

On Friday, November 25th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on John J. Williams Highway at Legion Road. It was reported to be three vehicles and unknown injuries with two vehicle remaining in the roadway.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police and the local emergency medical service provider.

Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle stabilization, patient stabilization, traffic control, and scene mitigation with fluid and debris recovery.

It appears that a red Chevrolet Camaro was traveling west on John J. Williams Highway, attempting to turn onto Legion Road when a green Chevrolet Cavalier struck the Camaro from behind.

The Delaware State Fire Police provided traffic control for the duration of the incident with a single lane restriction.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
