Nature: Alarm Sounding

On Wednesday afternoon, November 16th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an Automatic Fire Alarm (AFA) sounding at the Verizon building on John J. Williams Highway.

Emergency units from Indian River included Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included incident mitigation. Upon arrival at the facility it was identified that the alarm company was present and working on the alarm system.

All responding crews were dismissed and returned to their respective stations.
