Nature: Vehicle Fire

Location: Behind This Address On Big Oak Lane

Address:  32575 Friendship Drive, Millsboro, DE 19966

Early Tuesday morning, November 15th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle fire on Big Oak Lane behind the residential location of 32575 Friendship Drive. It was reported to be a car fire but ended up being a suspicious vehicle complaint.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

After an initial search of the Big Oak Lane area, it was determined that the reported car fire was a suspicious vehicle parked along the roadway outside of this residential location. Upon evaluation, it was best determined to notify the Delaware State Police of the incident.

Indian River units remained on-scene until the arrival of the Delaware State Police units.
