Nature: Vehicle Accident

Location: Rudder Rd and Banks Rd Millsboro, DE 19966

On Wednesday evening, November 9th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on Banks Road in the vicinity of Winding Creek Village. It was reported to be a single vehicle incident involving a tree.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assigned included scene mitigation, traffic control, and vehicle stabilization if needed.

It appears that a maroon Chevrolet Trailblazer was traveling on Banks Road approaching Winding Creek Village from the east and lost control for an unknown reason, spinning, and striking a tree.

The Delaware State Fire Police assisted with traffic control or the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
