Nature: Appliance Fire

Location: 34895 Shroud St. Pot Nets Bayside, Millsboro, DE 19966

On Tuesday afternoon, November 8th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an appliance fire on Shroud Street in the Pot Nets Bayside development off of Long Neck Road.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility as well as Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck facility.

Emergency response crew assignments include fire suppression activities as well as incident mitigation, salvage and recovery, and overhaul.

It appears that a single wide manufactured home with additions encountered an appliance fire which cause significant interior damage to the residential structure. Much of the household appliances were removed from the structure during the overhaul phase.

The Delaware State Fire Marshal Office is investigating.
