Nature: Vehicle Extrication Tool & Compressed Air Foam Demonstration & Experimental Exercises

On Tuesday evening, October 4th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was invited to join Millsboro Volunteer Fire Company with a vehicle extrication tool demonstration. This event was hosted in order to familiarize firefighters with the newest products offered by Hurst Tools via Municipal Emergency Services (MES).

The equipment demonstration included hands-on opportunities to experiment with the old tools versus the new tools and included instructional dialogue regarding technique and procedures for vehicle extrication. Additional training information was offered demonstrating compressed air foam as a fire supprant.

The drill was held at Bunting’s Garage in Dagsboro, Delaware.

Additionally, the joint training evolutions allowed for Millsboro and Indian River firefighters to network and collaborate with functional working relationships.
