Saturday October, 1 2016 Nature: Pre-arranged Stand-by Cover Up Assignment – Brandywine Hundred City: Bellefonte (New Castle County), Delaware On Saturday, October 1st, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company as well as many other volunteer fire companies in Kent and Sussex County provided pre-arranged stand-by cover up assignments in order for the New Castle County fire companies to attend the Memorial Services for the Fallen City of Wilmington Firefighters. Indian River was assigned to Brandywine Hundred Fire Company in Bellefonte and collaborated with a Engine-Rescue Company from Newtown Square, Pennsylvania and an EMS (BLS) Unit from Talleyville Fire Company. The crew was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident as part of the activities performed during this assignment. All units returned safely from these assignments and Indian River appreciates the opportunity to serve our fellow brothers and sisters in New Castle County. |
