Nature: Utility #80-14 Truck Refurbishment Activities

 

 

On Thursday evening, September 22, 2016, some volunteers of the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company attended a scheduled work detail to coordinate the truck refurbishment activities associated with Utility #80-14 which is a surplus military 5-ton repurposed for inclement weather within the fire district.

 

This work detail highlighted the electrical system re-wirings, establishment of a circuit board, materials and installation interior compartment lightings, and materials preparation and installation of the rear compartment side railed and canopy bows.

 

The raw materials were measured, cut, drilled, and installed while on location.  Much of the electrical system re-wiring has been completed with the lighting packages pending installation or delivery.  The new tarps and canopy will be special ordered and configured within the immediate foreseeable future.
