Nature: Vehicle Accident

Location: John J Williams Hwy and Willow Lane, Millsboro, DE 19966

On Tuesday afternoon, August 9^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on John J. Williams Highway in the vicinity of Willow Lane.  It was reported to be a single vehicle roll over involving a telephone pole.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included overall incident mitigation including but not limited to traffic control, vehicle stabilization, and debris and fluid recovery.

It appears that a tan Jeep Grand Cherokee was traveling east on John J. Williams Highway and for an unknown reason left the roadway striking a utility pole and rolling over.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated the temporary detour of John J. Williams Highway during this incident mitigation phase.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
