Nature: Vehicle Accident

John J Williams Hwy and White Pine Drive, Millsboro, DE 19966

On Saturday afternoon, July 30^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on John J. Williams Highway in the vicinity of White Pine Drive.  It was reported to be two vehicles with one off-the-roadway into the wooded area.

Emergency response units from Indian River include Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

The Delaware State Fire Police were requested to close this section of John J. Williams Highway for the duration of the incident.

Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle stabilization, traffic control, and incident mitigation efforts.

It appears that a silver Ford Pick-up and silver Toyota sedan were traveling on John J. Williams Highway when both collided.  The pick-up came to rest in the entrance path to the Dash in and the sedan veered off of the roadway into the nearby woods.

The Delaware State Police are investigating NO​
