Nature: Nanticoke Riverfest Marine Unit Assist - Standby Crew Assignments

Location:  Seaford, Delaware

On Saturday, July 9th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company provided marine unit assistance for the 22nd Nanticoke Riverfest activities.

These assignments were to assist and provide coverage for potential issues and were in addition to our normal fire district coverage. 80 Marine 2 was assigned a diver and did have to assist two participants of the day’s events.

The 22nd Annual Nanticoke Riverfest in Downtown Seaford, Delaware hosted all sorts of food vendors, carnival rides, entertainment on the stages and nice weather. Plus, an annual car show,  Treasure hunt along with the Hidden Idol Search. The main event was "Boot Scootin' on the Nanticoke" , the annual "Float-In" included hundreds of folks, donned with various types of inflatables, which floated on the Nanticoke River towards the event location.
