Nature: Vehicle Accident

Location: Indian Mission Rd. and Phillips Branch Road, Millsboro, DE 19966

On Monday evening, June 13th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on Indian Mission Road in the vicinity of Phillips Branch Road. It was reported to be two vehicles and potential minor injuries.

Emergency response units from Indian River include Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and the Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle stabilization, traffic control, patient stabilization, and overall incident mitigation.

It appears that a silver Nissan was traveling on Indian Mission Road and collided with Chevrolet compact car. Both vehicles sustain damage and the driver of the compact car needed additional emergency services and was transported to the nearby medical facilities.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control for the duration of the incident.
