Nature: Vehicle Accident

Location: 28839 Mount Joy Rd Millsboro, DE 19966

On Sunday, May 15th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on Mount Joy Road in the vicinity of Mark’s Lane and Maryland Camp Road. It was reported to be two vehicles with one striking a utility pole.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 and Chief 80-15 from the Oak Orchard facility as well as the Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility.

Emergency response crews were assigned to perform traffic control, vehicle stabilization, patient stabilization if needed as well as overall incident mitigation efforts.

It appears that a black Jeep and a maroon Chevrolet Pick Up collided causing the Jeep to continue off the roadway and striking a utility pole.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigation.
