Nature: Vehicle Accident

On Wednesday morning, May 11th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on Indian Mission Road in the area of Medic 106 Station. It was reported to be two vehicles.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard area, Engine #80-1 and Incident Command 80 from the Long Neck area as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included assistance with patient stabilization, vehicle stabilization, traffic control, and incident mitigation. Additional emergency medical services were needed from Millsboro (83) and Lewes (82) to transport to nearby medical facilities.

It appears that a black Ford compact car and Chrysler mini-van collided on Indian Mission Road. Both vehicles sustained significant damage.

The Delaware State Fire Police provided traffic control assistance with limited traffic patterns through the incident location.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
