Wednesday April, 6 2016 Nature: Green Cross Awards – Hurst Jaws of Life Recognition Location: Oak Orchard On Wednesday, April 6th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company received acknowledgements that five (5) of its volunteer fire and rescue personnel would be receiving the Hurst Jaws of Life – Green Cross Award for successful efforts that were used to save and/or free an entrapped victim. The award recipients are: Steven C. Deery, Jr. Hayden F. Klingler Jason M. Faulkner, Sr. Cody A. Levis James E. McLane, III The incidents which generated the recognition awards are: • January 16, 2016 Incident - http://www.irvfc.com/gallery/detail/18379; and • January 30, 2016 Incident - http://www.irvfc.com/gallery/detail/18728?ss=1 The Green Cross is the symbol of recognition for those who have used Hurst Jaws of Life products to save lives. The Green Cross is awarded after information concerning a rescue is filed in the official Green Cross Registry.
