Nature: Structure Fire

Location: Bayard Ave

Address: 504 Bayard Av Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971

On Monday evening, January 18th, the Indian River (80), Lewes (82), Bethany Beach (70) and Millville (84) fire companies were alerted to the assist Rehoboth Beach on a residential structure fire on Bayard Avenue in Rehoboth Beach.

Indian River's initial dispatch was for a single engine stand-by cover up assignment which was ultimately upgraded to a response to the scene.  Emergency response units from Indian River included Engine #80-3.

Emergency response crews were hampered by the cold weather as they pursued mitigation services for fire suppression.

The Delaware State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating.
