Monday December, 21 2015 @ 12:40 On Monday afternoon, December 21st, the Indian River (80) and Lewes (82) fire companies were alerted to assist Rehoboth Beach (86) fire company with a working structure fire within the Sea Air Mobile Home Park off of Coastal Highway. It was reported by a neighbor of the structure that heavy smoke was coming for the structure. Emergency response units from Indian River included Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck facility and Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility. Emergency response crew assignments included assisting with fire suppression, access and evaluation of the crawl space area; as well as incident mitigation and manpower and water resources. It appears that a residential manufactured home structure was heavily involved with fire upon arrival of Rehoboth Beach’s apparatus and there were concerns regarding the family’s pet which needed additional services via a veterinarian. The Delaware State Fire Marshal is investigating.
