Nature: Seaford Christmas Parade

City: Seaford, Delaware

It is that time of the year again, when local towns welcome visitors for their Annual Christmas Parades!

On Saturday, December 5th, the Parade Committee from the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company participated in Seaford’s Annual Christmas Parade. This parade event marked the 150th Anniversary of Seaford hosting its Annual Christmas Parade.

Indian River hosted three units in the parade with this year’s theme being “Hear the Beep, Where you Sleep”.

The Parade Committee consisted of members from the fire company as well as the Ladies Auxiliary.  The parade floats were a collaborative effort over the past few weeks by these two entities of the volunteer fire company.

During this time period, Indian River attended many neighboring towns and their annual Christmas parade events which to date has accumulated a total of five (5) trophies for the various parade entries.  These parades included:  Georgetown, Rehoboth, Selbyville, and Lewes.
