Saturday November, 7 2015 @ 11:43 On Saturday, November 7th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a fuel spill (washdown) assignment at the M & T Bank Branch in Long Neck. It was reported to be a vehicle that leaked a substantial amount of gasoline within the bank parking lot. Emergency response units from Indian River included: Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility, Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility, as well as the Delaware State Police. Emergency crew assignments include traffic control and incident mitigation by dispersing absorbent materials to soak up the petroleum products within the parking lot.
