Indian River’s Siren Refurbishment Status Update As identified in earlier announcements, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company has chosen to temporarily discontinue its siren to ensure adequate refurbishment and relocation at the Oak Orchard facility. While the siren has not been operational for approximately six weeks, it has been missed and many residents continue to inquire about its return. On Friday, November 6th, members of the refurbishment team delivered the refurbished siren back to the Oak Orchard facility. Much of the refurbishment phase has been completed and the final leg of this transition is the installation of the poles, mounting of the siren platform, electrical connections.
Illustrated herewith are various photographs after the refurbishment phase.
