Nature: Vehicle Accident
Location: John J Williams Hwy & Holly Mount Road, Lewes, DE 19958

On Thursday, November 5th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on John J. Williams Highway at the intersection of Holly Mount Road.  It was reported to two vehicles with possibility of having one patient.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility, Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.  Additional incident alerted requested an emergency medical response from the Lewes Fire Department (82) and the Sussex County Paramedics (Medic 106).

Emergency response crew assignments included patient and vehicle stabilization, traffic mitigation efforts as well incident documentation requirements.

It appears that a Chevrolet Impala was traveling westbound and was struck by another vehicle traveling eastbound.

The Delaware State Fire Police were required to close the westbound traffic for the duration of the incident.
