Nature: Traffic Hazard – Property Damage Vehicle Accident

Location: John J. Williams Hwy., @ Legion Road

On Saturday afternoon, the Delaware State Fire Police assigned to the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company were alerted to assist the Delaware State Police with a traffic accident on John J. Williams Highway in the vicinity of Legion Road.

It appears that a Honda Civic sedan was attempting to turn left from eastbound John J. Williams Highway and was struck from behind by a Nissan sedan also traveling eastbound.

This was strictly a property damage incident; however, the vehicles were creating a traffic hazard until removed from the roadway.

The Delaware State Fire Police assisted the Delaware State Police for the remainder of the incident.
