Saturday October, 3 2015 Nature: Assist DSP – Disabled Vehicle – Oak Orchard Location: Delaware Avenue @ Pearl Street and Elizabeth Drive, Millsboro, DE 19966 Unscrupulous Driver Get Stuck Traversing Through Neighbors Front Yard On Saturday afternoon, October 3rd, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was assessing the fire district for effects of the inclement weather and came upon the Delaware State Police and Bunting’s Towing in the Oak Orchard attempting to free a disabled vehicle. It appears that a nearby resident complained about an unscrupulous driver that was traversing through the flood ridden community in a Chevrolet Suburban SUV at an aggressive rate of speed causing waves and water surges. A little while later, another resident posted on facebook that a Chevrolet Suburban was attempting to shortcut the tidal water conditions by running through a neighbor’s yard. Fortunately, the Chevrolet Suburban became stuck in the grassy yard that had soft sandy soil that was water soaked. This incident was reported to the Delaware State Police which was able to locate the driver at another nearby residential structure and contact towing authorities. The Delaware State Police are investigating the incident. Additional information may obtained by viewing the following webpages: http://wgmd.com/oops-front-yard-shortcut-through-flood-waters-stuck |
