1999 Chevrolet Suburban Incident Command Unit (Duty Officer Vehicle) This unit was a 1999 Chevrolet Suburban and operated as Indian River's first Incident Command Unit. It was equipped with a full pull-out command center and a Panther 5000 laptop computer. This truck was equipped with: four wheel drive. V8, 400 MHz, 800 MHz radio, automatic transmission bench seats, AM/FM Cassette Radio, cruise control, intermittent wipers, air conditioning, SCBA and various hand tools. This unit was retired in July, 2008 and replaced with the new command vehicle highlighted previously. The unit was sold to Coaling Fire Department in Coaling, Alabama |
